Mercato - Naples, FL
Mercato is a 53-acre upscale mixed-upscale shopping destination in Naples, Fl, originally opened in 2008. The development team decided in 2022 to re-vitalize and re-program the main central event space. The design team decided to flank the huge existing fig tree with a stage, expand the central lawn, and reach across the street with shade sails and specialty lighting. By doing so the street was able to be closed during special events and the flexibility and capacity of the programming of the event space was greatly enhanced.
Space Craft worked carefully with architects and civil engineers to ensure all retrofits and enhancements worked well and seamlessly blended into the new environment.
